LSS HBL - zhaoxiang

2)

Deforestation is a human activity that is the act of clearing a large number of trees in a forest. This will cause the ants to lose their source of getting fibre for their traps. And without the traps, they cannot hunt the insects, to kill them. This results in the lack of food for the ants, and eventually they will die out. Their natural homes are also gone, causing them to leave and find another place, and the new area they find, may not have the food they need or large amounts of fibre for their traps. A change of environment is also not beneficial to the ants.

3a)
Mutualism : The ants farm the fungus for protein from the fungus and the plant.
Commensalism:
Allomerus decemarticulatus worker ants cut hairs from the stem of the plant they inhabit, to build a spongy platform,
Predatory:
Swarms of workers then rush over the hapless prey, stinging it into submission. The ants kill and eat the insects trapped by the trap.
Parasitism:
Theys trictly manipulate the physiology of the fungus nearby where they live to construct a mortar for a trap that is able to catch much larger prey.

3b)
Parasitism
Bedbugs are parasites that feed on warm-blooded animals, preferably humans. Bedbugs infest and are transported in luggage, clothing, bedding and furniture.
Predatory
A bottlenose dolphin swallowing a fish, or a snake swallowing a frog
Commensalism
In India, lone golden jackals expelled from their pack have been known to form commensal relations with tigers
