2) Deforestation would affect the Allomerus decemarticulatus ants as they would be unable to find the materials needed to make their traps. Without their traps, they would be unable to find food. Thus they would starve and die. After a period of time, they would be wipe out from the face of this earth as they have no food to eat.
3a) The mould has a symbiotic relationship with the ants. It is mutualistic. The ants allow the mould to grow on their traps while the mould in turn strengthen the traps, making the traps stronger and better useable. Since both benefits, it is mutualistic.
The tree also has a symbiotic relationship with the ants. It is commensal. The ants use the hairs on the plant to make their traps. Thus the ants benefit from the tree. However, the tree is not affected by this change as thus it is commensal.
3b) Mutualistic: One such example of this is pollinators(examples are bees and butterflies) and flowering plants.
Commensal: Examples are ferns that grow on trees.
